LEAP conducted the LP111 - Build a Better Product program at Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam. The program ran for 3 to 4 weeks, culminating in an Open House Competition held on September 18th.

As part of the program, students selected common household products such as table fans, ceiling fans, mixer grinders, iron boxes, and water heaters. They enhanced these products with smart features—such as timers and scheduling for table fan, remote speed control for smart mixer, and touch-to-start functionality for iron box etc. In total, around 20 products were submitted and demonstrated to the judges.

The participants impressed the judges with their detailed explanations, the quality of their output, and the ingenuity of their designs, making the selection of winners a challenging task. Additionally, the event was a great learning experience for first-year students, who were inspired by the innovative product demonstrations and learned how simple household products can be enhanced with new features.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from the college principal, faculty members, and students. The dedication of the students and their faculty mentors, along with strong support from the college, made this event a truly memorable experience.
